This Privacy Policy explains how FairTaxi (the “Data Controller”) collects, uses, and shares your personal data.

Processing Activities and Lawful Basis

We process data for the following purposes:

• Rider & Driver Accounts: Processed under contract.
• Ride Matching: Processed under contract.
• Payments: Processed under contract (via Stripe).
• Location Streaming: Processed under legitimate interest / contract.
• Document Storage (Drivers): Processed under legal obligation / contract.

Data Categories

We collect names, emails, phone numbers, location data, and (for drivers) PSV, NCT, and insurance documents.

Retention Periods

• Financial records: 7 years.
• General account telemetry: 90 days.
• Document scans: Longer of driver tenure plus 12 months, or any active dispute.

Recipients

Data is shared with Stripe, Firebase, AWS, Twilio, FCM/APNs, and SES. International transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) where applicable.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction, objection, and to withdraw consent.
